The meeting has further taken decision to continue the dialogues with ruling parties to remove the obstacles seen in the parliament caused by the constitution amendment bill.
Following the meeting, party vice chair Bamdev Gautam has claimed that the SC’s decision was inconsistent to the amendment bill. He added that the meeting has urged the ruling parties to withdraw the amendment bill adding that except the issues of province border change all are under the jurisdiction of the Parliament. He further argued that the current parliament could not change the border of province as it was the jurisdiction of Province Assembly.
Leader Gautam reiterated that the amendment bill was forwarded aimed at splitting the Province No 5 and disintegrating the Tarai from hills and mountains. He further asked the logic behind splitting the province.
Similarly, the meeting also held discussions on making the mass demonstration effective, well managed and decent as the nine opposition parties including main opposition UML are going to organize mass demonstration against the amendment bill in the capital on January 6. RSS
