During the Friday meeting with Minister for Health Girirajmani Pokharel, who has also received the responsibility of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Chinese Ambassador pledged Chinese government’s support in Ayurveda health care services, its research and herbs’ processing.

The Ambassador also expressed her commitment to support the proposals floated from the Government of Nepal, according to a press note issued by the Secretariat of Health Ministry.

On the occasion, Minister Pokharel said the government was preparing to expand Ayurveda services in all provinces across the country and also urged for Chinese support for the expansion of Bir Hospital in Dadhikot, Bhaktapur.

Pokharel also said that the government was expecting Chinese support to establish a Cancer Hospital in the name of communist leader Nar Bahadur Karmacharya. -RSS
