Global Education for Republic All Foundation donated Rs 10 million to reconstruct Bal Mandir Basic School at Beni Municipality-4.

Nepalis in South Korea helped collect the amount on the initiatives of sub coordinator for the Non-Resident Nepali Association Asia Pacific Region Binod Kunwar, also school’s former student, and Sangita Karki Kunwar from Myagdi.

The foundation stone for the school building was laid amid a programme on Tuesday.

The new building will have 10 rooms for classes, and other purposes. “The donation will be of a great help in the building reconstruction,” said school head teacher Ram Prasad Poudel.

The two storey school building was gutted by fire, destroying property worth approximately Rs 9.2 million. Furniture, a computer lab and a library were also destroyed.
