Kathmandu, Oct 14 (RSS): Veteran democratic leader and former minister Chakra Prasad Bastola, who has long been bed-ridden after brain hemorrhage, passed away.
Leader Bastola breathed his last at his own residence in Khumaltar, Lalitpur at 9.20 pm, informed Radha Krishna Kafle, Bastola’s personal secretary.
He has been suffering from brain hemorrhage since 29 December 2012. He was the former central member of the Nepali Congress and ex-Ambassador to India. Bastola was a prominent democratic leader who had played crucial role in the people’s movement-1990 and 2006.
