Kathmandu, March 18: In the run-up to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s China visit, various political parties’ leaders have urged the PM to make the visit a success and fruitful.
They have suggested focusing on Nepal’s economic development and further strengthening relations between Nepal and China during the visit.
They made such suggestion at a meeting held today with leaders of various political parties including ruling party to discuss on PM’s China visit.
On the occasion, Rastriya Prajatantra Party Chairman Lokendra Bahadur Chand told media persons after the meeting that he urged PM Oli to make efforts to open other remaining border points with China and work to bring in joint investment for economic development of Nepal.
Likewise, CPN-UML chief whip Bhanu Bhakta Dhakal said that the participants suggested PM Oli to initiate efforts to expand railway and carry out hydropower development during the visit.
Similarly, General Secretary of UCPN (Maoist) Krishna Bahadur Mahara informed that he urged the PM to focus his China visit on Nepal’s greater interests.
It is learnt that Nepali Congress leaders failed to take part in the meeting due to its central committee meeting. RSS
