UCPN (Maoist) chairman partakes in Farwest Holi celebration

Kathmandu, March 21: UCPN (Maoist) chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Monday participated in a special Holi programme organised with the objective of setting up a revolving fund for supporting the children of the martyrs and the disappeared in their studies.

The UCPN (Maoist) leaders and cadres from the Far-west reached Dahal’s residence at Lazimpat and started the Holi celebration. Holi is the festival of colours celebrated across the country.

On the occasion, chairman Dahal said it would be worthwhile to celebrate the cultural festivals like Holi for social cause. He also thanked all the participants.

Holi festival is celebrated in the Far-west region of the country a couple of days ahead of the actual day of the festival.

The (Maoist) chairman contributed Rs 50 thousand to the revolving fund on the occasion, said Om Bikram Bhat, a member of the UCPN (Maoist) Kanchanpur district committee. RSS
