Chautara, April 2: Construction works of the Mid-Bhotekosi Hydro Project has resumed after 11 months of obstruction. The construction work was obstructed due to the April 25 earthquake and the subsequent border blockade.

The project was obstructed for 4 months earlier due to Jure landslide in 2014 too.

The contractor Chinese company workers, who had left Nepal following the earthquake, arrived to resume the work on the project. The Chinese Gwasi Hydro Electronic Company is constructing the project.

Though the project of 102 megawatt capacity was estimated to be completed by June 2017 it has now been extended to December 2018.

The construction works delayed due to Jure landslide, earthquake and border blockade, said Manoj Silwal, chief at the project.RSS
