Consensus essential to way out deadlock: Poudel

Biratnagar, Dec 17:  Nepali Congress senior leader and former Minister Ram Chandra Poudel has said that the three major parties, NC, CPN (UML) and CPN (Maoist Centre) should forge consensus in package to way out the existing political deadlock.

Talking to journalists at Biratnagar Airport today, leader Poudel opined for forging consensus with Tarai centric parties regarding the issues of constitution amendment and local elections to outlet the impasses.

He opined for addressing the aspirations of locals of Pyuthan and Rolpa while discussing to change the border of Province No 5.

In another context, leader Poudel stressed on holding local bodies’ elections in existing VDCs set up saying that the local body restructuring commission is yet to provide complete report in this regard. RSS
