While addressing a ‘Golden Thousand Days’ project evaluation seminar here in Godavari, organized by his Ministry, Minister Pandey urged the local officials to be prepared for local polls.
The programme was introduced by the Ministry with the support of the World Bank to improve the health status of pregnant women and curb infant mortality rate in the country.
Joint secretary at the Ministry Reshmiraj Pandey said that the programme was targeted to help reduce infant mortality rate, increase health facilities in rural areas and bring awareness among people on health and nutrition.
The programme is effective in Okhaldhunga, Khotang, Udaypur, Saptari, Sunsari, Siraha, Sindhuli, Ramechhap, Dhanusha, Mahottari, Makawanpur, Bara, Parsa, Rautahat and Sarlahi districts. RSS
