Call for regularizing parliamentary party meeting

This was voiced by the party’s lawmakers in the parliamentary party meeting held at the Maoist Centre’s parliamentary party office in Singha Durbar today.

In the meeting, the lawmakers objected to the party not holding a meeting even once since the formation of the government.

Coordinators of all the seven provinces expressed their thoughts on party and local level election as well as the current session of the parliament. Chief Whip of the parliamentary party Tek Bahadur Basnet said that the meeting discussed the problems and challenges seen within the party, and its organizational situation.

According to him, lawmakers protested over the parliamentary party not holding its meeting after the party formed the government. Today’s was the first meeting of the CPN (Maoist Centre)’s parliamentary party after the formation of the incumbent government. The lawmakers also demanded that the meetings should be made regular.

The meeting also discussed the Prime Minister’s impending visit to China. The meeting has been adjourned until 8 am on 23 March. RSS
