Gaushala, Jan 5 (RSS): Property worth 900,000 was destroyed in separate incidents of fire that took place in four locations of Mahottari district last night.

A fire that broke out  in the Sugarcane field of Umesh Prasad Yadav in Hatisarwa of Bhangaha municipality-6 caused damage worth 800,000 rupees. Yadav said the arson was revengeful act carried out by some individual.

The  incident is being investigated, according to DSP at the District Police Office Khagendra Bahadur Khadka.

Likewise, in another incident, the motor and the hut constructed to cover it was burnt to ashes after an electric short circuit led to a fire in the field of Ram Bahadur Sahani of Sonam rural municipality-3.

In the third incident last night, the hay stack of Ram Kishore Shah of ward no. 4 of the same rural municipality also caught fire, leading to a loss of 20,000 rupees. Similarly, hay in two bigaha of land worth 60,000 rupees was gutted in a fire that took place in the field owned by Shesh Kalam of Nigaul in ward no. 2 of the rural municipality, police said.
