Bhaktapur, May 5 (RSS): A man convicted in a contraband case by the District Court Bhaktapur was arrested on Friday, after two years on the lam.

41 – year – old Indra KC of Gundu of Suryabinayak municipality – 7 was sentenced to 11 months in prison with a fine of Rs 5000 on March 20, 2016.

He was arrested by a team dispatched from Metropolitan Police Circle, Jagati, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police, Krishna Prasai. He has been sent to the Dilli Bazaar Prison to serve out his term.

Meanwhile, Sajan Suwal, 22, of Mahalaxmisthan of Bhaktapur municipality – 10 was arrested for stealing mobile phones from Sanjaya Ghising and Samir Tamang from within the Bhaktapur Multiple Campus premises at Dudhpati in Bhaktapur municipality – 1. Suwal was in possession of a Khukuri – a curved Nepali sword – at the time of the arrest at Suryabinayak.
