NPC to send triennial plan draft to Council

Kathmandu, May 2: The National Planning Commission (NPC) today took the decision to present the draft of the forthcoming 14th Triennial Plan to the National Development Council for deliberation.

A meeting presided over by Prime Minister and NPC Chairman, KP Sharma Oli, at latter’s official residence in Baluwatar, endorsed the decision to submit the ‘approach paper’ of the triennial plan for fiscal year 073/74 to 075/76 BS to the Council for discussion.

The Council meeting participated by experts will hold discussion and then prepare the triennial plan’s approach paper, NPC Vice Chairman, Dr Yubraj Khatiwada said.
He added that the government’s policy and programmes will be determined on basis of the approach paper.

The meeting also took the decision to hold the Council meeting on May 15 and 16 in Kathmandu, Commission’s Joint Secretary and Spokesperson, Tulasi Prasad Gautam, told the National News Agency (RSS).

Gautam further said that a decision was also taken to have the final say on the proposal of 35 nominated members of the Council after revision. RSS
