Kawasoti, May 7: One person was killed and other three injured in a road accident at Madhyabindu Municipality-7 of Nawalparasi district along the East-West Highway today.

The accident took place when an Indian number plate bearing car (MH 47 S 2493) heading to Kathmandu from Sunauli collided with a stationary truck (Ba 1 Ka 2046) at the place.

The deceased is Avay Chandra Yadav, 39, of Maharastra, India, police said.

Similarly other injured are Indian national Yogesh Bhatta, Dilip Soni and Jitendra Pal. The injured are receiving treatment at Chitwan Medical College.

The driver was found driving under the influence of alcohol, which is suspected to be the reason behind the accident. RSS
