Kathmandu, May 9: Krishna Poudel has been appointed the Chief Secretary for the Nepali Congress Central Office.

The post was lying vacant since last Friday after the then Chief Secretary Rhishikesh Tiwari resigned from the post, to ‘support’ the party President Sher Bahadur Deuba.

Tiwari had been appointed to the post during the period of the then party President Sushil Koirala.

Deuba accepted Tiwari’s resignation today and appointed Poudel to the post, according to NC party office Secretary Dr Pradeep Parajuli.

Poudel who originally hails from Syangja has already served as the President of Nepal Teachers’ Association Kathmandu. RSS
