Nepali Congress leader Prakash Man Singh has accused the incumbent government of failing to ensure good governance in the country. In his address to a tea reception organised by the Nepali Congress Kathmandu constituency-1 here today, the main opposition party leader claimed the “government is intending to make the federalism failure by not spending the development budget.” The former deputy prime minister went on to say that the incumbent government failed to abide by the parliamentary rules. As he said, the government activities have affected the symbol and prestige of the parliamentary system. He said the NC was ready to pay any price for securing the rights of the people. Stating that the first Constituent Assembly could not write the constitution even though it elected four communist prime ministers, leader Singh said the Nepali Congress alone could develop the country. The government, commanding the support of two-thirds majority, could not work as per the people’s expectations.
