Kathmandu, June 10: Chairman of the Federal Socialist Forum Nepal Uprendra Yadav has said that the new constitution has failed to provide social justice to Madhesi people and indigenous nationalities, among other people.

At a programme organised by Nepal Intellectuals and Professionals Federation close to the Federal Socialist Forum Nepal, here Friday, Chairman Yadav blamed that the new constitution has curtailed the rights provided to people by the interim constitution.

Stating that the federalism could not take momentum if autonomous governance and identity are not established in the country, he expressed the view that provincial assembly should hold local bodies’ election.

Chairman Yadav expressed concern over belittling inclusiveness in the new constitution. He stressed that the new constitution should be rewritten as the its provisions for not bringing no-confidence motion against the government for two year and dissolution of parliament has made mockery of the democracy.

Westminster model brought into practice in past has flopped, he argued. RSS
