Pokhara, Sept 27:Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Ramesh Lekhak has said a door to holding the local has opened with the political agreement on the creation of 900-1,000 local bodies being based on the areas (Ilakas) remaining under the District Development Committee as practised in the past. 

Minister Lekhak who represents the Nepali Congress in the coalition government, during his meeting with party cadres here today, said the Congress was ready to address the concerns of the Madeshi people regarding the new constitution.

Making the constitution acceptable to all through amendment(s) was in the agenda of major political parties, he added. RSS
