House passes proposal on Bill-related to National Women Commission-2073

Kathmandu, Nov 29: Today’s meeting of the Legislature-Parliament passed with a majority the proposal that the House consider the Bill related to National Women Commission – 2073 BS. 

Earlier, responding to queries raised in the meeting, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Ajay Shankar Nayak, on the behalf of the Prime Minister and Minister for Women, Children and Social Welfare, said that the bill paved way to empower the women.

Lawmakers—Jayanti Kumari Rai, Geeta Rana, Mina Pun, Shreemaya Thakali, Garima Shah, Prem Suwal, Mamata Giri, Geeta Rawal, Shyam Kumar Shrestha, Pemba Lama, Ratnadevi Gurung, Kedar Prasad Sanjel, Sushila Nepal, Anita Devkota and Rameshwor Phuyal had participated in the discussion.

Similarly, the meeting also approved the proposal of sending the Company (first amendment) Bill-2073 Bs presented by the Industry Minister Nabindra Raj Joshi, to concerned committee for clause-wise discussion. RSS
