Dhangadhi, Dec 11: A farmer of Basanta tole in Kailali’s Dhangadhi boasts about producing a bottle gourd weighing 25 kilograms in his kitchen garden.

Lalit Man Sop has claimed to have produced the vegetable.

The round-shaped vegetable item that has been put on display at the Far Western fair currently underway in Dhangadhi, has drawn the attention of many fair visitors.

“The bottle gourd is put on display at a stall showcasing agriculture products and many visitors are thronging to see it,” said a farmer Bal Kumar Rana Magar, who is a volunteer at the stall.

“I have grown the vegetable by using compost fertilizer,” said Sop. “I have ever seen a bottle gourd bigger than the one produced by Sop in my life,” said a visitor Harish Joshi. RSS
