At an interaction programme organized by the Reporters’ Club here today, Thakur said, “Restructuring of the local level is not the demand of the people. There exist only federal and province in federalism. Local level remains under the province. What is the meaning of the local level’s election when there is no structure of the province?”

He also argued that the structure of the local level was prepared without taking recommendations of the people and by minimizing the sensitivity of population and geography in the districts from Parsa to Sunsari.

Saying that he fought lifelong for democracy, Thakur added that there would be no participation of the United Democratic Madhesi Front in the elections to be held without constitution amendment. RSS
