PM directs security agency chiefs for security arrangements for elections

The direction was issued during a meeting with Chief of Army Staff Rajendra Chhetri, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Prakash Aryal, IGP of Armed Police Force Singh Bahadur Shrestha and Chief of the National Investigation Department Dilip Regmi, who were summoned to PM’s official residence in Baluwatar today to discuss security arrangement in view of the polls.

During the meeting, PM Dahal inquired about the poll preparations, said PM Dahal’s press advisor Govinda Acharya.

In response, chiefs of the security agencies informed that security situation of the country was normal at present and that the security agencies were ready and efficient enough. They asserted that preparations were on to make security arrangements to organise the polls in a free, fair and fear-free manner. RSS
