Dhading, April 8: Nepali Congress (NC) general secretary Dr Shashanka Koirala has said healthy competition in democracy is obvious.
The recent election between party president and senior leader for parliamentary party leader would not invite factional feud rather unite the party, Dr Koirala said this while inaugurating the two-day cadres training and annual plan formulation programme organized by NC Dhading in Dhadingbesi.
His response came to a query of journalists regarding senior leader Poudel’s candidacy for the post in the election despite certainty of loss.
At a press conference organized by Nepal Press Union, Dhading Chapter, he further noted that the 13th general convention of the party was substantial for unity as it had dismantled the 60-40 share in the party.
The general secretary spoke the need of making the party further strong by developing its organization.
On query, he said that the party has not made any decision whether or not to join the government.
He however said that the NC would be firm in its stance for the implementation of the constitution which was promulgated under the leadership of the then NC President Sushil Koirala-led government. RSS
