Khotang, April 13: All the people killed in the bus accident that took place at Barkhetar on the Diktel-Halesi section of the Mid-hills highway on Tuesday have been identified.

Most of the casualties are from Khotang district. According to police, 15 among the dead are from Khotang, seven from Udayapur, two from Solukhumbu and one from Bara district.

The bus (registration number Ba 2 Kha 6376) had left Diktel of Khotang district for Kathmandu at 5 am on Tuesday.

Thirty-one persons were injured in the accident and of them 23 with serious injuries were immediately airlifted to Kathmandu on Nepalese Army helicopter. The remaining ones with minor injuries are receiving treatment at local hospital, it is stated. RSS
