Kathmandu, Aug 25: The row that had surfaced in the Nepali Congress over the selection of ministers participating in the incumbent government has been settled.

The row was settled a day after the faction led by senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel decided not to join the government if the faction was provided with respected numbers in distribution of ministries.

During the meeting held this morning, NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba agreed to provide five ministries to the Poudel faction as per the latter’s demand.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs, Bimalendra Nidhi told the RSS that names of all ministers joining the government would be finalized today and the list of the ministers would be submitted to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal.

The new ministers of the NC would take oath on Friday as President Bidya Devi Bhandari is busy to attend different programmes organised on the occasion of Krishna Janmastami today, according to a source.

An agreement had been signed between the CPN (Maoist Centre) and NC to get eight and 12 ministries respectively.

Nidhi as Deputy Prime Minister and Home Affairs and Ramesh Lekhak as Minister for Physical Planning and Transport Management from NC have already joined the government. RSS
