Kathmandu, Aug 27: A section of entrepreneurs of Chitwan has urged Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal to develop Shaktikhor of Chitwan as an industrial corridor.
In a meeting with the Prime Minister at his residence in Baluwatar today, the delegation of Chitwan Industry Association urged PM Dahal to take initiative for the setup of industrial corridor at Shaktikhor.
Briefing that there is 2,500 Bighas of useable land at Shaktikhor, the delegation said that the proposal to develop industrial corridor will help protect the land and propel economic prosperity in the district.
The delegation also requested the Prime Minister for support in establishing industrial exhibition centre in Chitwan, shared Krishna Prasad Adhikari, an entrepreneur of Chitwan.
After discussion with the entrepreneurs, Prime Minister Dahal said that he was positive to take ahead the agenda of establishing industrial corridor in Chitwan, as it is the proposal of strategic importance.
“The proposal to develop industrial corridor in Chitwan is important. I will do the needful for this. The government will also take necessary efforts to facilitate the establishment of industrial expo centre. You should initiate necessary preparation from your end”, PM told the delegation. RSS
