According to the District Police Office Dhading, Krishna Khatiwada, 37, of Thakre Rural Municipality-7 was taken under control by the police near from Dharke where the leftist alliance is holding an election assembly today as he was about to assemble a socket bomb which he intended to explode at the venue of the assembly.

Police said special security arrangements are in place in the district in view of the scheduled election campaign and the upcoming elections. Prior to this, five cadres of CPN (Biplav) were arrested in the district.
