Lalitpur, Feb 24 (RSS): About 500 health volunteers working in Lalitpur Metropolitan City are deprived of national recognition.

They rue that they are deprived of even ordinary services and facilities provided by the government to national volunteers due to this.

“Even those volunteers who have worked for over three decades in Lalitpur metropolis have not been nationally recognised. We have not been given the recognition although we have been carrying out the responsibilities entrusted upon us by the government,” Purushottam Karki, the president of the Lalitpur Health Network, shared.

According to him, the health volunteers working in the metropolis have not even been imparted the required training for four years now.

At present there are 600 health volunteers working in Lalitpur metropolis and only 133 of them have got national recognition.
