The District Police Office, Udayapur said that the fire started from the kitchen of Hasta Bahadur Sarki on Sunday evening. The fire destroyed his and Mandhoj Sarki’s house at Udayapurgadhi Rural Municipality-7.

The fire reduced to ashes the food grains, clothes, utensils and cash worth two million rupees, police said. Locals and police brought the fire under control in time to prevent it from spreading further.
