Tamghas (Gulmi), June 29: The District Court has handed down a two-year prison sentence to a driver convicted of causing a bus accident due to his negligence.

A single bench of Judge Matrika Prasad Marasini ruled against Sridhar Pandey, 25, of Argali-2 in Palpa under Clause 161 (2) of Motor Vehicles and Transport Management Act, 2049.

Five people were killed when the vehicle Marasini was driving met with an accident in Resunga Municipality-14 in Gulmi nine months ago. A high-speed is said to be the cause behind the accident. RSS
