Bara, July 5: A former Village Development Committee (VDC) chairman in Bara was arrested from the district today on a murder charge.

Mahabir Kanu, former chairman of Dewapur Teta VDC, has also been charged with murdering one Biltu, 30, of Dewapur Teta-6.

Kanu has been accused of attempting to rape a single woman around 10 years ago. RSS
