Panchthar, July 6: A motorcyclist was killed in an accident occurred at Phidim Municipality-4 in Panchthar. The deceased has been identified as Bhawani Prasad Bhattarai of Phidim Municipality-5.

The accident took place when his motorcycle (Me 6 Pa 2396) was hit by a tractor (Ko 2 Ta 5407) at Tumden Chowk, the District Police Office, Panchthar said.

The injured was rushed to the District Hospital, Panchthar and the hospital refereed him to the Jhapa-based B and C Hospital for advance treatment where he breathed his last on Tuesday night.

Police have arrested tractor driver Dambar Khawas of Arjundhara, Jhapa and impounded the vehicle. RSS
