Kathmandu, July 12: CPN (UML) senior leader and former Prime Minister Jhalnath Khanal, has said that Nepal should be benefited from the Silk Road Project of China. 

Talking to journalists upon his arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) here today after a week-long visit to China, leader Khanal shared that he had stated that Nepal also should be benefited from the project. He further said that he had inaugurated the project there.

He added that he had set out on China visit aimed at strengthening bilateral ties with the neighboring country.

Leader Khanal also said that he had discussed with Chinese officials about the railway and roads as well.

On the occasion, a Chinese University had honoured him with the title of visiting professor.

Khanal also stated that he had undergone treatment there and now he is healthy. Khanal had left for China on July 5. RSS
