
Kathmandu, July 24: The Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has emphasized that it was the need of the hour for all to stand together to build the nation while embracing democratic and parliamentary practices.
President Deuba made this statement at the second meeting of the Legislature-Parliament during the deliberation on no-trust motion against Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Sunday.
Pointing out that the issues like national unity, national security and foreign policy should be in favour of national interests, he said that the system of building nation through the utilisation of state funds collected from tax and foreign aid should be developed.
He also emphasized the need for any government to respect free judiciary by distancing it from the interference of politics.
He also pledged that the next government would prioritise international understandings, provide supports to April 25 earthquake survivors, implement constitution effectively and address demands of protesting Tarai-Madhes people through talks.
Likewise, the NC President said that the next government should be serious to make all state functionaries free, impartial and transparent by making them responsible to the people. RSS
