Pakistan in favour of resolving Pakistan-India problems through talks: Pakistani ambassador

Kathmandu, Oct 27: In the face of ongoing tussle between India and Pakistan over Jammu-Kashmir dispute, Pakistani Ambassador to Nepal Mazhar Javed today said his country is firm about resolving all problems between the two countries including Kashmir issue through talks. 

Addressing a programme held at Nepal-based Pakistani Embassy on ‘Dimension of human rights over Jammu-Kashmir dispute’, Javed said India should respect the rights of Kashmir people to self-determination.

The commitments made by then the Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru to respect the rights of Kashmiri people to self-determination should be implemented, he said.

He also viewed that cordial relations between India and Pakistan are a must for the prosperity, development and peace of the South Asia as a whole.

Also the programme was attended by lawmakers from various political parties, professors and distinguished people of the society and senior journalists. RSS
