Jhapa, Nov 7: Minister for Information and Communications Surendra Kumar Karki has expressed worry over the dwindling food production due to developing trend of fragmentation of cultivable land. 

Addressing a programme organized by the CPN (Maoist Centre) affiliated entrepreneurs’ organization here today, Minister Karki opined for categorizing the lands to stop such trend of land plotting which is continuously reducing the production.

Minister Karki shared that he had raised this issue even in the parliament. He urged all entrepreneurs to be united to contribute in national economy adding that the entrepreneurial sector was the second largest sector after agriculture in the country.

In another context, he said that the plan should be prepared before beginning any business adding that most of the people haphazardly begin the business which results only in losses. RSS
