
Issues relating to the endorsement of constitution amendment bill with revision and declaring the date for local body’s elections figured during meeting where the leaders from the three parties agreed to move ahead forging consensus yet again on issues to be considered for amendment in the bill.
Emerging from the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs Bimalendra Nidhi told the media persons that the Front seemed positive about the endorsement of constitution bill with revision.
DPM Nidhi said, “The meeting also discussed on declaring the election dates by endorsing the constitution amendment bill at the earliest and on which the Front was positive.”
Echoing with DPM Nidhi CPN-MC Spokesperson Pampha Bhsual shared that leaders dwelt on heading towards elections by considering amendment in the constitution amendment bill registered at the Legislature-Parliament on November 29, 2016.
She further shared that both sides agreed on how to forward the bill after revising it.
Similarly, Federal Socialist Forum chair Upendra Yadav also informed that the both sides positively discussed to revise and pass the bill.
He added that the issues to be revised on the bill would be finalized after holding discussions with both sides.
On the occasion, the Front expressed dissatisfaction on the decision of recommending the names for judges to the High Courts terming it onesided.
Present on the occasion were, PM Dahal, Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, Home Minister Bimalendra Nidhi from ruling parties and Upendra Yadav, Mahantha Thakur, Rajendra Mahato and Raj Kishor Yadav from the front side. RSS
