He completed the race in 2 hrs 34 mins 24 secs to also win a cash prize of Rs. 60,000. Likewise, Lal Bahadur Thapa and Gyan Prasad Bhattarai, also of Nepal Army came second and third respectively.

They walked home with Rs. 40,000 and rs. 25,000 respectively.

The event was organised by the former athletes’ forum Nepal, Pokhara chapter.

A total of 170 athletes including a foreign national had take part in the marathon. RSS
