Begnas Lake boat sinking: six bodies found

Lekhnath, Sept 9 (RSS): Bodies of six people, majority of them minors, who had gone missing in the Begnas Lake following the Saturday’s boat capsize, have been retrieved today. Rabi Khanal, 32, Shankar Khanal, 7, Shiba Khanal, 8, Prachin Poudel, 5, Ranjit Gaire, 5, and Manisha Bajgain, 17, of Gaidakot, Nawalparasi have been identified as the remaining victims of the incident. 

The bodies have been sent to Pokhara for post-mortem, Sub Inspector of Police Bishnubar Singh Thapa said. 

The boat met with an accident some 200 meters before the destination. A total of 10 people were onboard at the time. Two were rescued alive while eight have died.
