Kathmandu, Sept 8 (RSS): Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said that a secured environment for investment and profit has obtained in Nepal along with the political stability.

The former Prime Minister, who is currently on a visit to India, said this while addressing the Indo-Nepal Centre Inauguration and an Interaction on Roadmap for Accelerating Inclusive Development in Nepal programme in New Delhi on Friday evening.

He said an investment-friendly climate has been created in the country by reforming the outdated policies. “We have moved forward towards achieving economic prosperity. Nepal is a country which is rich in natural resources. There is high potential for development of hydroelectricity and we are also willing to collaborate in this sector,” he added.

Stating that hydropower was not only related to electricity generation but it has also to do with the management of water resources, he reiterated that collaboration could be had on producing mineral water in the Everest region. We can reap benefits by exporting the mineral water produced in the Everest in the world market, the CPN Chair suggested.

He also talked on the immense possibilities of tourism development in Nepal and profit can be made by investing in the agro-based industries and religious tourism business, Chairman Dahal’s Secretariat has stated.

There was large presence of Indian business community in the programme.
