Tulasipur (Dang), July 1 (RSS): Tulasipur Sub Metropolitan City has unveiled the new land use policy to be effective from the second week of July, beginning of the new fiscal year 2075/076 BS. 

As per the new policy, the landholders would not be freed to keep their lands barren. Deputy Mayor Maya Acharya said the policy was brought to discourage the landowners to keep their lands infertile. She added that the policy will further encourage the land owners to make their lands fertile for more products. 

She further added that the sub-metropolitan city will charge additional taxes from the landowners if the land plots were left barren for the whole year. Sub Metropolitan City spread over about 384 sq. km. and most of the fertile lands are left unproductive for some years.
