Kathmandu, March 11 (RSS): President Bidya Devi Bhandari administered the oath of office and secrecy to newly elected Speaker of the House of Representatives Krishna Bahadur Mahara at a special ceremony held at the Rastrapati Bhawan, Sheetal Niwas this morning.

Also present at the ceremony were the Vice-president, the Prime Minister, the Chief Justice, Ministers, heads of constitutional and securities bodies, high-ranking government officials.

Leader of the CPN-MC party, Mahara was elected to the post of Speaker unanimously on Saturday.
