Chief Justice Gopal Parajuli administered the oath of office and secrecy to the President amidst a special ceremony attended by Vice-President Nanda Bahadur Pun, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and Speaker Krishna Bahadur Mahara, and ministers, among other dignitaries.

A contingent of Nepal Army accorded a guard of honour to the President on the occasion.

Immediately after the swearing-in ceremony, Vice-President Pun, PM Oli and Speaker Mahara congratulated President Bhandari.

The ceremony was also attended by ministers, members of the House of Representatives and of federal parliaments, high-level officials of government, chiefs of security bodies, chiefs and representatives of the diplomatic missions and the people dignified in the social sectors.
