EPS: Thirty one fake examinees arrested

Kathmandu, June 18: Police here arrested altogether 31 fake examinees turned up to take today’s 7th exam of the Test Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK) Language Test under the Employment Permit System (EPS).

A total of 23 persons were held from Kathmandu district and eight from exam centres at Lalitpur district, according to Dilliram Bastola, EPS Korea Section Director.

The arrested will be detained and booked under the prevailing law, shared Director Bastola.

Of the total 30,202 applicants slated to sit for today’s exam, only 28,782 took the Test. Rest of the applicants are to sit for another lot of exam scheduled tomorrow at two different times- at 8:30 am and 12:30 pm, he added.

A total of 60,626 candidates have submitted the application form for this year’s Test of which 52,222 are male and 8,404 female, it was shared.

The 70-minute exam carrying 100 full marks each for reading and written test will be held in various 18 centres in the Kathmandu Valley and three in Pokhara. RSS
